Quality Control and Standard System of Pipe Fittings
The production and application of pipe fittings shall follow unified standards to ensure interchangeability and safety. Commonly used domestic standards include GB/T, HG, SH, JB and other industrial specifications, while international common standards include ASME, ASTM, DIN, JIS, etc. Quality control covers raw material inspection, forming processes (forging, casting, stamping, welding), dimensional accuracy testing, mechanical property testing, pressure resistance testing, corrosion resistance testing and other links. Pressure-bearing fittings shall undergo hydrostatic or pneumatic tests to verify sealing performance and structural strength. Fittings used for food, pharmaceutical, high-purity media also need to meet special requirements such as cleanliness and non-precipitation. Standardized selection and testing can reduce risks of leakage and rupture, and extend the service life of piping systems.
